Fossilized

This picture looks fossilized when i first look at it. I notice the chain linked fence when i first looked at it also. The tree looks so busy and full. The fence is not like that so it stood out to me the most. The branches on the tree are a very strong part of the photo to me because they're so bold. There are also power lines that run through the tree but you can barely notice them.

Looking at this photo I can see a short, wide, old tree. It takes up the whole area. There's a chain link fence at the bottom of the page. Power lines run through the top of the tree, and there's a wishing well to the left of the tree. It looks like it was engraved onto a cement block of metal. It's all gray.

There are not very many variety of values in the piture. But you can see the darker parts of the picture and you can tell what it is. You can't really tell the tree from the backround though. it's herd to make out. But you can see where things start and end and if one thing is in front of another. It is a vary plain color but i think it looks very fossil like and i like that look. This tree is not centered in the picture either which makes even more neat looking.

If i think about this picture i think of winter and fairytales. It doesn't have much color but that's what i see when i look at it.

It pretty much looks like a rock or cement. Only fossilized.

This photo relates to other things in the world because it's a picture that is part of earth. It also relates to Richard Serra's photos and drawings because of the visual texture of the photo. This is a little different though. but it's similar.

Shadow & Sun

This photo has allot of values in it. It's very crystallized too. When i look at this picture i feel cold warm at the same time. the ice on the trees keeps you thinking it's cold. But the sun shining through the trees keeps the picture feeling warm and relaxed. When I look at it the first thing I noticed was the gleaming branches.
These are trees that have been sitting through the winter without any heat. The sun shines on them too delicately and the air is too cold. So, the trees will not get any heat to melt the ice off their branches.
Looking at this picture you can see that it was taken by looking up into the sky but not completely, it's at an angle. it's like a circle of trees with a building in the back round. it's sunny but you can tell it's freezing because of the ice. it does look like it's melting because the sun is shining on it.
This photo makes me think of a fairytale. it's so pretty and delicate.
This photo shows the different values like in Edgar Degas paintings. they are very similar, but it's hard to tell since ones a photo and the other is a painting.

Poise

This is a skeleton of a rose. It shows you all the values of it and how poise it is just sitting there. you can see where the peddles intersect and where the stem is and the leavings around it. I would rather look at a rose this way then looking at a real one. I think it shows the rose more and how beautiful it is.

This skeleton of a rose is white, and you can see the inside of it. how the peddles are arranged and everything.

The rose is shaped well, you can see the outline of everything on it.the lines thinking as the peddles curve, and the overlap of them gets lighter because it's a black and white photo of an x-ray rose. this rose isn't in a space but it still looks good.

This rose looks like it's sick, funny to say but it does.
This picture doesn't really compare to any of Albert Durer's photos. it's more of a one of a kind picture.

In my mind...

This picture is definitely touching. It has a sence of movement and you can see the veins running through the flower, softly and boldly. It's like you can feel it in your hand, like your really holding it.
If you couldn't see this picture i would describe it as; A rounded soft pink flower, very tropical looking. the center is maroon with a yellow stamen in the middle. There's lots of greenery in the backround. You can see the veins of the flower running through the peddles. It's very soft looking.
This picture isn't very bright but the flower is pink and it makes itself pop out, atanding outside of the picture. You can see the trees in the backround but you pay more attention to the flower because it's so bold.
This photo doesn't really tell a story, It just makes you think of warm, bright, and romance.
I would describe it as cotton candy!
It doesn't really resemble any of Honore Damurier pictures but it's a good picture to me.... thanks to my roommate who took the picture! ~Thanks Vanessa~
